Theory test
A multiple-choice test comprising 50 multiple-choice questions covering aspects of the Highway Code. The pass mark is 43.
A hazard perception test consisting of a series of video clips of actual road hazards that need to be identified. The pass mark is 44.
The theory test can now be taken in colchester ( Butt Road , Wellington house )
This test must be passed before moving onto the practical tests

Module 1
You will be tested on your ability to control the motorcycle at low speeds and carry out an emergency stop and a avoidance.
The theory test is divided into two parts:
You must provide all of the following valid documents:
your driving licence with the correct provisional entitlement only the plastic part with your picture on it or a valid UK passport to support a paper licence
your compulsory basic training (CBT) certificate (DL196) your motorcycle theory test certificate.

module 2
Module two is the on-road module and typically takes around 40 minutes.
This module includes the:
eyesight test
show & tell and pillion passenger questions
road riding element that will cover a variety of road and traffic conditions
including at least 10 minutes of independent riding (following signage)
For module two you must produce your module one pass certificate, and all the documents that you had to present at the module one test.
